On my way home from the lovely outing to Royal Deeside yesterday I spotted this veritable carpet of snowdrops. I meant to stick them in yesterday’s post, but it was already so long and, to be quite honest, I forgot. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many at once, they just went on and on into the distance. Unfortunately, the sun wasn’t on the majority of them, but they still looked magnificent:

Now that is absolutely spectacular! Is it normal to see snowdrops like that in your local woods? They may be full of bluebells in a couple of months too, it would be amazing to see the same view in blue. Gorgeous.
Thank you Finn, there are a lot of snowdrops up here but that was an unusually large number in one place. I love it when the bluebells come out, there are several forests near here that have beautiful displays and hopefully I’ll be able to put some pictures on my blog anon.
That looks really beautiful! It’s quite a few snowdrops here as well, but not nearly as many as that in the same place.
That was an unusual number, but yes very beautiful, thank you for your comment.
Beautiful!
Thank you, they really are lovely to see after the winter.
Spring is coming! How beautiful (and hopeful)!
I know, isn’t it lovely to see things starting to grow? The snowdrops are the first real sign of spring, and always a very welcome addition to the landscape.
Gorgeous!
Aren’t they? Brighten the heart, they do.
They look like fairy hats!
What a delightful suggestion!
I do so love a spectacular snowdrop display.
Thank you, me too, it cheers the heart!
Lovely memories of walks in the woods.
Thank you, for me too. A carpet of snowdrops is such an uplifting sight.
Magical!
Thank you, they are aren’t they? So nice to see them every spring.
