If you use Facebook you might be vaguely interested to know that I’ve revamped my Facebook page for Lorna’s Tearoom Delights. It can be found by clicking here.
If, however, that’s of absolutely no interest to you, perhaps I could offer you this nice painting of a tearoom instead. It’s a photo of a card I bought recently. The painting is by Jennifer Thomson and is entitled “Meringue Trio, The Willow Tearoom”.
Jennifer has painted lots of lovely Scottish scenes, so if you like this one why not have a look at some of her others at www.jenniferthomson.com.

Hi,
I’m not on facebook, but I love your painting, it is very well done, so much detail, the Ladies chatting over High Tea, the handbag on the chair, the lovely flowers, even a handbag hanging on the chair as well, the waitress walking away and leaving the Ladies to enjoy themselves. Very nice.
Thank you, it’s great isn’t it? Her paintings always make me smile, and quite a few of them have been turned into greetings cards, which is a very affordable way to buy them and pass them on.
What a wonderful idea to have them on greeting cards, that would certainly be unique.
I love the card! I would love to know what they are talking about. I’m not on facebook yet. Don’t know if I’ll ever get an account.
I know, it’s intriguing to think of their little chats. I’m not very good at going on Facebook, but I know a lot of people love it and use it quite successfully as a networking tool.
No, I don’t do Facebook either! But I love this card, thanks for that. The Willow Tea Rooms are fantastic. I haven’t been for a few years – took my mother and daughter a while back. So I should really plan a trip!
I should too, because rather shockingly I haven’t ever been! I’ve been meaning to go for ages so it’s high time I did something about it. I might jot an appointment down in my diary as a special treat once I’ve done a bit of book writing.
What a lovely picture. The old ladies are really enjoying themselves
That’s what I want to be like when I’m an old lady.
Your facebook page is very nice, just like your blog. I went to Ms. Thomson’s website, and her work is great. Wonderful spirit! And now I like Pittenween even more!
Pittenweem.
Thanks Marian! I’m glad you enjoyed looking at Jennifer Thomson’s work, her pictures always make me smile. I think you’ll have to have a trip to Pittenweem one of these days.
What a cute card!
Isn’t it lovely?
You’d think a writer would be able to read wouldn’t you? I’ve only just realised you’re north of the border. I’ll stop waiting for you to visit our naughty cake shop now then.
Would love to visit the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow and do all that Rennie Mackintosh stuff too. Have “liked” you on Facebook and awarded you the Versatile Blogger Award. More fun!

Where is your naughty cake shop? I can travel! Thank you very much for liking my Facebook page and for awarding me with the award, jolly nice of you, I’m most grateful!
Cute paintings! Don’t worry about the timeline on Facebook, it will be changed by the time you get used to it! lol
Thanks, that’s probably true, at the rate I catch up with these things!
Hello Lorna, is that you and your assistants in the picture?
You guessed!
A picture of three gossiping mothers and a post about facebook, oh my life.
Ha ha, could be worse!
Hello, Lorna. I want to let you know that I do “like” your facebook page, in the traditional sense of the word, but even though I also have a page, I cannot “like” yours in the facebook sense of the word. After a lengthy and confusing discussion with my daughter, I finally understand that I am not a “person” in the facebook world, and therefore I am not able to “like” pages. But, I can “link”! And I will
Hi Robin, that really made me laugh! Isn’t modern life ridiculous sometimes? What’s your Facebook page called? I am a “person” on Facebook, as well as having a page, so I can “like” yours and I would be delighted to!
I just found your Facebook page and have “liked” it.
Well, thank you!
My pleasure!
